FBC Collegiate Ministry

The desire of the FBC College Ministry is for every student (whether attending college in the area or in other areas of the country):
  • to find a church that is his or her "church home away from home”.
  • to get “plugged into ministry”.
  • to grow in a vital walk with Christ and "become more like Jesus today than yesterday".
In doing so each follower of Christ accomplishes these purposes:
  • Worship - Glorifying God in all we are and all we do is our ultimate goal.  FBC encourages our students to worship in spirit and in truth and provides many avenues to worship corporately.
  • Discipleship - FBC desires our students to grow more like Jesus each day. Studying God’s Word is important in making disciples and growing in our faith. FBC provides opportunities for Bible study, analysis, and application for everyday life.  Our goal is to be a disciple and to make disciples of Jesus in our community, state, nation, and the world.
  • Service - FBC desires our students to plug into service using their gifts and skills that our Father has so uniquely given them and to become a vital part of the church.
  • Fellowship - Loving God and one another is key to successful fellowship and service.   Our students love to hang out and FBC wants to provide a spiritual environment to nurture godly fellowship and fun.

Collegiate Teams

The heart of the First Baptist Church College Ministry is the student.   Volunteer student leaders dedicate their time and talent to serving in a variety of leadership roles specific to the college ministry.  There are three primary college student-led teams:  Bible study facilitator team, Events team and the Worship team.  These empowered leaders multiply their efforts by involving others in each of these vital ministries.
