First Baptist Church Humboldt TN

Ministries
Our desire at First Baptist Humboldt is for all members to find their places of service using their God given gifts, talents and skills for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.  All FBC ministries seek to understand where God is leading as we respond to His mandate “to make disciples”.  Get plugged in – find a ministry and serve others!

We have two types of teams: enabling and ministry.

Ministry Teams are relational in nature focusing on ministries that support the mission of FBC, “making disciples” inside and outside our Family of Faith.  Ministry Teams are made up of individuals who utilize their God-given design, talents, skills and abilities to cooperate in accomplishing a common purpose and task as they achieve God’s best. Ministry teams are open teams available to any member whose giftedness fits the ministry.
Our teams’ focus on discipleship, evangelism, missions, music, prayer, member care and fellowship as explained in Other Ministries.  If you are interested in serving on one of our ministry teams, you may contact anyone on our ministerial team and support team or contact the ministry team leader directly

Enabling Teams are individuals nominated by our ACTS team and elected by the church. Enabling teams are administrative in nature seeking to enable, equip and empower the overall ministries at First Baptist Church.  Members of these teams accept the responsibility and accountability of being a servant-leader under the authority God and the authority He has given the local church, her pastors and spiritual leaders. Members of equipping teams serve a three-year term.

The four enabling teams are:  Stewardship, ACTS (Assimilating Christians to Serve), Personnel and Trustees*.
