Sunday Morning Worship - Dub Oliver
As our pastor seeks a time of refreshing, renewing and restarting this summer, today we will hear a message from God through Dr. Dub Oliver.
Dr. Samuel W. “Dub” Oliver began serving as the 16th president of Union University on June 1, 2014. A native of San Antonio, Texas, Oliver served in the U.S. Air Force in the late 1980s at Carswell Air Force Base in Texas. He completed a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Baylor and a Master of Science degree in educational psychology and a Doctor of Philosophy in educational administration from Texas A&M. Before entering graduate school, he was a third grade teacher in the Fort Worth Independent School District. He is also a licensed and ordained Baptist minister, serving as pastor of Canaan Baptist Church in Crawford, Texas from 2003-2009.
Oliver and his wife Susie Combs Oliver celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary this year. Susie is a native of Hazard, Kentucky, and a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. They have one daughter, Callie, who is a Baylor University graduate and works in Jackson, TN.
His life verse is, “I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.” Philippians 3:8

Sunday Morning Worship - Rick White
As our pastor seeks a time of refreshing, renewing and restarting this summer, today we will hear a message from God through Dr. Rick White.
Dr. Rick White served as Senior Pastor of the People’s Church in Franklin Tennessee for more than 33 years. Under his leadership The People’s Church, formerly known as First Baptist Church, grew from about 300 members in downtown Franklin to a nearby 65-acre campus where more than 4,000 members worshipped. A second campus was begun in Spring Hill, just south of Nashville where another 1,000 members attended. He served as President of the Tennessee Baptist Convention and chairman of the Board of Trustees at Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY. He is a graduate of Samford University and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
